Dr Yasmin Pethania
Dr Yasmin Pethania is the founder of Butterfly Hugs for Mums. She is a trauma specialist and an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has worked in specialist trauma services in the NHS for a number of years. She qualified with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Surrey and currently works in a specialist trauma service in the NHS. Dr Pethania specialises in Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and has expertise and experience in treating psychological presentations in the aftermath of a range of traumatic experiences including birth trauma. Dr Pethania has a special interest in trauma and recovery in women at different stages in their life and maternal mental health.
Dr Grace Childs
Dr Grace Childs is a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in assessing and treating trauma symptoms and PTSD, as well as a range of other psychological difficulties. She has a particular interest in maternal mental health and in supporting mothers and fathers with the enormous changes and adjustments they navigate after having a baby. Dr Childs completed her Doctoral training at King’s College London and is currently working with mothers and fathers with an infant on a neonatal unit.
